About us

12th-logoOur group is based in Bangor, Northern Ireland, and currently has over 200 members. The group supports Squirrels (age 4-6) Beavers (age 6-8) Cubs (8 – 10 ½) and Scouts 10 ½ -14. We are connected to Bangor East Explorers (14- 18yrs).

We have our own premises on the Ballycrochan Road in Bangor. We have completed our new extension the building allowing the group to develop even further.

12th Bangor run a varied and fun outdoor programme throughout all the sections including a week long summer camp every year run for scouts since 1991.

Our Aim

The leader team and committee support members are committed to help are our boys and girls achieve the highest awards in Scouting develop as responsible citizens and form lifelong friendships.

Our Promise

To provide a varied and interesting programme of events resulting in the achievement of the top Chief Scouts Bronze, Silver, Gold and Queens Scout Awards.

To help our young people develop socially and physically into mature and principled individuals who recognise the need for responsibility and duty.

Our Invitation

We are constantly full with waiting lists for our Squirrel and Beaver sections. But that should not stop you making contact with us. You can fill in the application form and send to us. If you already belong to the scout family and run a patrol or troop and would like to join up with us at a camp, host us or be hosted by us in Northern Ireland please get in touch (all details at Contact Us above)

Leader Team

We encourage all our parents and guardians to take an active part in our activities as helpers, joining our leader or committee support teams. We welcome leaders at any time to join our thirty plus adult team.
